Canibus has written nearly all of the greatest lines of all time IMO, despite no mention….”i speak at frenquencies dogs would have trouble hearing, canibus is the lyrical version of german engineering” or “i can double my density from 360 degree to 720 instantly 6 multiplied by 5 then 4 then 3 the 2 then 1, go ahead and calculate the sum” <– tell me what other lyricist can pull off factorials & keep it nice. Granted, it’s not a “sum” but that’s focusing on the wrong bit.

I’m going with the Canibus verse from Lyrical Skillz, the Nas verse from Live at the BBQ, and the Inspectah Deck verse from Triumph, and the Em verse on Renegades. Canibus isn’t whack. Most don’t listen to him but they listen to K West who is a watered down version of Mos Def. It’s all about hooks and beats. The lyrical era is dead. All about style not substance. Hip hop died when Wu stopped coming out with group hits.

Jake. You sound like a clown right now talking garbage like that. Plenty of people still rock Canibus’s old stuff and his new stuff. He just talk about other stuff than most. And his career wasn’t stumped out it was just pushed underground. He still making albums.
And Kenneth, you off base too. I’ll admit that sometimes he says stuff that doesn’t seem to have much relevance or make much sense but that’s not saying he has no substance. He also says stuff that is very relevant and makes a lot of sense so to say he has no substance is grossly inaccurate.

A three minute assault with absolutely no flaws in delivery or lyricism. It’s also the most emotional and meaningful verse I’ve ever heard RA The Rugged Man spit.
